Buying furniture online isn’t difficult, but there are important things you’ll want to know about our selection, about the shipping & delivery experience and various other topics.

When placing an order with FAMA Design you’ll be agreeing to all terms and policies including shipping, damages, returns, and payment as stated on our website. Don’t worry – it isn’t complicated stuff, but please be sure you understand these terms of sale and your role in the process. The process of delivering large and expensive furniture requires that all parties involved be informed.

  • What happens if my order arrives damaged?

    We work hard to make your online shopping experience pleasurable and trouble free. We know that you are excited about receiving your new furniture and we work hard to ensure it reaches you in perfect condition. However, accidents do happen. For that reason, we ask that you inspect your item immediately upon receipt. For more details on what to do in the rare unfortunate event your furniture arrives damaged, simply contact one of our Customer Service Advisors at +1 281 407 2641.

     
  • Does my furniture come with a warranty?
    We are very proud of our product offering and we intend to stand behind it. FAMA Design warranties all of our products for 1 year from the date of purchase regardless of whether there is a manufacturer warranty or not.   • If I don’t like my furniture, may I return it?

  • What should I expect when my order arrives?

    Most home deliveries are performed Monday through Friday. Once your shipment has prepared for final transport, a home delivery specialist will contact you to schedule a time and date for a delivery appointment. Please note – the customer does have an obligation during the delivery process for quickly ensuring the quality of the item received.   • How long should delivery take?

    We understand that you are eager to receive your beautiful new furniture, but we feel protecting your investment is important. For this reason, we have established partnerships with the best nationwide furniture home delivery carriers. While your freight moves through their network, rest assured that your furniture is being handled with extreme care!

    Most items are stocked in our warehouse and are shipped within 2-3 days of ordering. Some items are shipped directly to you from the manufacturer and may take longer. Either way, once an item is put on the truck, delivery usually takes from 4-6 business days. Transit times are not guaranteed.

    Although we make every effort to deliver your furniture safely and on time, accidents and delays do sometimes happen. Please use caution when scheduling home improvement (scheduled contractors, etc.). It is recommended that you schedule such professionals after receiving and inspecting your new furniture. Should an unexpected error occur on our part, we will work with you to remedy the situation as quickly as possible.

    Our shipping department will email you tracking information for your order when it ships. Please watch for this email. This email contains important information including Tips for Handling Your Order When Received, and your responsibilities as the purchaser.

       
  • What are my shipping & delivery options?

    Because we offer unique product and we know you’ve selected just the piece for you, we take the transport of these items very seriously. We ship your order utilizing the safest and most dependable furniture transit method possible via our outstanding Home Delivery partners. We offer three delivery methods; please select the option that makes the most sense for your needs.

    Basic Home Delivery Service

    ‘Basic Home Delivery’ service is FAMA Design’s most economical delivery option. Once your shipment has prepared for final transport, a home delivery specialist will contact you to schedule a time and date for delivery. Uniformed delivery associates will deliver your boxed merchandise, and place it in the first dry area of your home or garage.

    Room of Choice Delivery Service

    ‘Room of Choice’ service upgrade differs slightly – using this service, uniformed delivery associates will deliver your boxed merchandise, and place it in the room of choice.

    White Glove Delivery

    Finally, our ‘White Glove’ service is FAMA Design’s premium delivery option, and is available on all orders. Upon delivery, uniformed delivery technicians will carefully unpack your merchandise and place it in the room of your choice. Once the delivery is complete, the delivery team will remove all packaging and debris. Any required assembly is the responsibility of the customer.

  • Is my shopping transaction secure?
    Absolutely. At FAMA Design safe and secure shopping is our top priority and that is why all our website has Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which is a commonly-used protocol for managing the security of a message transmission on the Internet. SSL has recently been succeeded by Transport Layer Security (TLS), which is based on SSL. SSL uses a program layer located between the Internet's Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) and Transport Control Protocol (TCP) layers. SSL is included as part of both the Microsoft and Netscape browsers and most Web server products. Developed by Netscape, SSL also gained the support of Microsoft and other Internet client/server developers as well and became the de facto standard until evolving into Transport Layer Security. The "sockets" part of the term refers to the sockets method of passing data back and forth between a client and a server program in a network or between program layers in the same computer. SSL uses the public-and-private key encryption system from RSA, which also includes the use of a digital certificate.
  • Are there more product options available than those shown on the website?

    Yes, in some cases. One of the benefits of shopping online for furniture is our ability to offer a wider selection of products than your local furniture store. If you need design features not shown with a particular collection, contact us to see what our options are.   • Do you carry inventory in your own warehouse or is your merchandise shipped directly from the manufacturer?

    The answer is – both. Our buyers travel the world seeking the most interesting ‘one-of-a-kind’ items. In order to sell this type of product, we gather our findings and import them into our Houston warehouses. For other products, it makes more sense to ship to the consumer directly from the manufacturer. In this model, you may benefit from reduced transportation and storage costs, as well as less handling.

    Does everybody do it this way? No, but they certainly would if they could. Many Internet retailers do not have a warehouse, nor do they have the means to own inventory. While their model works in some cases, it can often lead to significant lead times and uncertain availability. At FAMA Design, most of our inventory is stored in our Houston warehouses. We understand that there is some science to an efficient and low-cost supply chain.

     
  • What makes FAMA Design different from other furniture stores or Internet retailers?
